After 6 days of the toughest terrains and endurance skills, myself and Dhanush has reached Leh safely with our bikes in good conditions. The ride was much more difficult that what we thought it would be.
Will update more once we are back home on 9th of July. The roads back till Amritsar is supposed to be even more difficult.

I know by experience that the place is beautiful!! The best thing I liked was the "journey"!!
Khardungla Pass, Tanglangla pass - both are good.. While on the way to Leh (Manali - Leh), we stayed for 2 days at a place called Sarchu.. don't know if u noticed it.. but that place was my best part of the tour :-)

Venkat: Man....What you told is perfect. Its not the passes or the highest point that really catches you on. Its the whole journey. We did stay at Sarchu for a night, and some real acute cases of mountain sickness was floating around. Stayed at Rumtse too on the way.
But venkat....Tell you what. Goin in a bike through this way puffing and panting for oxygen in the midst of rivers, desert, rocks and simply 'No Roads' was the best part. It magnifies the 'experience' by multifolds!

at Sarchu, even we felt sick bcoz of lack of oxygen.. but the unscheduled break there was great (the fan belt of our sumo broke, and nearest place was 1 day away!!).. just us and nature.. no electricity, no homes. just 2 tents and thats Sarchu!!
definitely, wud try to go on bike someday... waiting for your pics in the meantime :-)
